The purpose of this event is to:
- Share new data and data gathering opportunities that give us a better understanding of trends in sexual violence including: new procedures for capturing UCR data, results of the federal NSVIS survey on interpersonal violence and results of the recent gender norms survey in NJ. Panelists include (but are not limited to): New Jersey Coalition Against Sexual Assault ,Prevent Child Abuse of NJ, Women’s Law Project .
- Recognize the implications of this and other data on both the intervention and prevention of sexual violence for children and adults.
- Establish a path forward in improving both data collection and data integration across all departments of state government and across all the related fields concerned with power based personal violence.
