Assault, Abuse, Harassment

Remember -

NO
MEANS
NO

------------

You are not alone. You are not to blame and it is not your fault.

...

Don't let your DREAM DATE turn into a DATE RAPE

Be on guard against Date Rape Drugs.

They are tasteless, odorless and colorless.

They can be a powder, tablet or liquid.

One little slip into your drink is all it takes.

Within 15 minutes, you could be unconscious or - worse still - conscious but paralyzed - even after only a few sips.

In a word, VULNERABLE.

Alcoholic beverages enhance their potency, but they also work in water, soda, coffee, juice, or whatever you're drinking.

There are several commonly used Date Rape Drugs. The street names for the four major types are:

  • Rohypnol, also known as roofies, rope, roachies, pluses, forget pill, mind eraser, negatives
  • Gamma Hydroxybutyrate, also known as GHB, liquid ecstasy, easy lay, liquid X, energy drink
  • Ketamine, also known as special K, vitamin K, cat tranquilizer
  • Gamma butyrolactone, also known as GBL (another form of GHB), blue nitro

What can you do?

If you are feeling dizzy, disoriented, weak, sick or disproportionately intoxicated,

  • Tell someone you TRUST to get help right away!
  • Call the police or dial 911.
  • Go to a hospital emergency room.

Don't...

  • drink a beverage you did not make or open yourself.
  • share a beverage or drink someone else's drink.
  • take drinks from a punch bowl or beer pitcher.
  • leave your drink unattended while you dance, make a phone call, go to the restroom.
  • drink any beverage with a funny taste, odor, residue, color or consistency.
  • mix drugs and alcohol.

Don't be afraid to ask for help!
